Hello Andy,

I had such a great day today because I finally understood how to get rid of my accent. Lucky native English speakers just do not realise how it can bother when you cannot speak clearly.

After two and a half years of living in Canada I realized that although I dramatically improved my writing skills and extended my vocabulary, I still have this terribly strong Russian accent. It bothers me a lot because, first of all, I want to continue my career as a medical doctor in Canada, and second, I just want to speak English clearly and correctly. That is why I did my own Internet research about the possible ways to leave my accent in the past and came to the conclusion that I need to contact Andy Krieger because the information (about him and his unique K-method) I found impressed me very much. And I did it!

I do not know how, but Andy's method works perfectly! I found that steps and techniques Andy taught are very easy to memorize and reproduce but so effective! I understand that it is just the beginning, and I have to practice a lot if I want to achieve my goal: to get rid of my accent. However, the first very important step has been made, and I doubt that it could be possible without Andy's help.

Andy is excellent in teaching specially in accent reduction in English. I have been enormously benefited from him. He can help in detecting wrongs and mistakes which we the sub-continental people generally make in pronouncing English words. He shows the exact manner pronounce a particular word by placing the tongue at exact place in the mouth and allowing a pause to make it understandable to others with a gentle and rhythmic hand movement. I have termed the technique as a "Charismatic Method" of accent reduction.

So, my opinion is that you may go to him. He is a sincere and hardworking man. I believe he will help you in all respects in reducing your strong accent into a normal one. You will, of course, be benefited to a large extent. Wish you good luck.

Thank you for your course that is unique, informative and very helpful in accent reduction. I am very impressed about the amount of work you put in and the numbers of students/celebrities you have taught.

I have noticed that when I speak English, I couldn't help opening my month to get into the position, pronouncing the vowel longer and launder, and rolling my tongue back for L and R and so on. Having learned English many years, I learned, first time, from you, how American English is spoken and how it should be sound in an organized manner.

The course materials are icing on cake that illustrate some difficult concept in a easy-to-understand gestures, photos or stories. I learned that gestures can guide me to emphasize the word, pop the word up alike a bullet, and elongate the sound like a baseball. There illustrations in your materials are generous! I realized that speaking American English is a state of art, just like sing a song or a playing piano, in which each note has its designated position. Before the class, my goal was to be understood, but now I want my audience enjoy listing to me. It will take time but I will try my best by following your steps and practicing daily.

For many years I have been looking for professional help with pronunciation of English sounds, words, intonations and so on since I could not figure out on my own how to speak English correctly and with no accent.

I guess the fact that you made it seem so simple to speak English with no accent and yet how powerful it is. I have put some time every day practicing and today I could hear myself talking with more confident and less accent with the techinques. It is the first time when I have taken a pronunciation course. Even thought I don't have another precedent to compare, I found the course very interesting and useful. You said things which I haven't thought about before. It is true, talking rarely and following your rules about how it should be the mouth and tongue at the beginning of the words helps for accent reduction.

The teaching method is great.Using a camera, it is easy to see, understand and control the way the words should be said. Also, having few people, you could pay attention and make everyone to understand what it is wrong and how it can be changed.
 
Maintain this kind of speaking away from class is not really difficult.In my case, when I start talking  and I see that the person who I talk with doesn't understand me, I remember about "the hand rhythm".

Achieving accent reduction is not very easy, but keeping the essential rules in mind and practicing, at one moment, the words will just come correctly with not thinking any more about them.

In my opinion, the course was worth the money. I learned something else new about English which will help me to integrate more easier in the Canadian society.
 
I definitely recommend the class to others.It is a easy, interesting and entertaining way to understand and learn a correct  pronunciation of words;it is very important to be understood by people that I talk with.

I would say this is the missing puzzle which I am looking for and complements very well with other traditional oral English/pronunciation trainings. The class is intensive but effective. I have never seen people so focused in class ever yet in such an cozy atmosphere to learn effectively. This have to be the results of many years of distillation and experiment and what we are having are the very essence of the method.

I wanted to say a big thank you to you for your help and support as I worked on my American accent this year, going from my native British. Your classes were of tremendous value to me, not just by giving me practical skills to approach an American text, but also by giving me the confidence to got out there and try it in the field.

As a testament to your teaching skills let me tell you that I recently got my first job in an American accent on the film X-Men 2.I have a dozen scenes and will be working with nearly all of the main stars, including Patrick Stewart, Hugh Jackman, and Ian McKellen I have had quite a few auditions for American roles and I have just finished filming my first leading role, playing a San Francisco cop on the show Just Cause.: That was really a great thrill for me as it was a lot of dialogue and I was delighted to find that I felt free to be creative even in this strange, alien tongue.

I really enjoy your DVD! I am trying to watch and imitate your way of speaking every day, even for 15 minutes. I hope my English will improve more and more!
Thank you very much for the accent reduction class last Saturday. It was very helpful for me and good surprise that it is simple ways to reduce my accent.

Since then, I have tried to talk slowly and clearly. Then I notice not only that people understand what I am saying, also that I can maintain peaceful my state of mind. Before, I was trying to speak fast to catch up with the speed of talk of my relatives and I often got upset because I could not make myself understood and also I was not be able to understand what people are talking about. Then I blamed myself for that.

After the class, I gained confidence to speak up and have potential to speak English without accent. Your way of talking and teaching impressed me so much and help learn effectively. My goal is to become an interpreter; I have not decided whether its medical or legal. Accent reduction is very important for me to achieve my goal.

Thank you very much for your e-mail. I am getting on well with your method of accent reduction. It is giving me positive result. I don't know how many methods there are in reducing strong accent into a normal one. But yours is a unique, excellent and pragmatic one.

You have developed a very good technique of accent reduction. Only in three hours time you are giving a complete package of accent reduction.It teaches how and where to place lips and tongue,how to take breath after making a pause and when to release it in pronouncing a word with the help of hand movement then indicating five stages of accent, nine groups of words and some other related things. All together it seems to me as amazing. Really, it is a Charismatic Method of Accent Reduction.

My medium of instruction was English. All through I had studied in English. But in many occasions I had observed that I was not understood by others because of my strong accent. It is You and only You who have helped me in reducing my strong accent by your Charismatic Method of Accent Reduction and enabled me now to be understood by others.

My name is Miguel, I'm originally from Cuba and have been living in Toronto for the last fourteen years, I would like to thank you for the DVD, I think it's magnificent, you must be a genius. When I first came to Canada, I wanted to learn English , I would say that I reached that goal some time ago, but there always was a nagging aspect, how to speak more clearly? how to make myself better understood? specially when I was talking on the phone. I tried different methods including the one where a piece of wine bottle cork is used, I don't know if you ever heard of that one, with the only result of a sore jaw.

At some point I gave up, I said to myself, what bother I have a heavy accent so what, I can get by, which is true, and then one day I learned about the Krieger method, so I did try it, what a difference it made. I had only watched twice and already the progress is amazing, people at work made some comments, finally I can say beach instead of bitch, just imagine how much trouble I wont be getting into. During the Superbowl I order a pizza and for the first time nobody asked me to repeat, that's wonderful.

Andy I know that there is a long way to go, like you said you have to learn to crawl before you learn to walk but I'm very excited, your method showed results hence gave me the confidence that this time around I would fulfil my dream of speaking English without a foreign accent.

Your teaching was absolutely awesome!! It was just last night at my birthday party, I read my friends' wish cards out loud in front of everybody (about 20 people) fluently with no accent and with nice pauses, nice and slow. Me, myself, has already noticed a big difference, and I bielieve my friends noticed that too. The whole night I was speaking english more slowly and making each word clear to be heard. And I was even more happy because of your teaching of the proper positions of lips and tougne, I can sing english songs better now. The words that came out of my mouth sound so beautiful!

I think my (Phillipino) accent is not bad and the words I speak is understandable.  Not until I attended the course of Accent Reduction, that day I learn the proper way of speaking the English language.  The simple steps in the course really made the difference and how Andy, with patience and enthusiasm, taught us the proper positioning of the tongue and lips before a word comes out from the mouth.   From that unique instruction, the K Method, and with daily practice and implementation, I could reduce my accent and eventually talk like other english speaking individuals.  My self-confidence in expressing myself has improve a lot especially here in the office.
