Irregular Verbs

The conjugation of an irregular verb is just as easy as that of a regular verb, when the principal parts are known; for the forms of the various modes, tenses, persons, and numbers are made from the principal parts in the same way. The following list of irregular verbs and their principal parts is given for both reference and close study. Verbs that have also a regular form are marked R. As the present participle is always formed by adding ing to the present tense, it is not printed in this list.
