test, visit the official TOEFL test information
page and select your country. After selecting your country,
choose "Scheduling an Appointment to Take the Test." Then

I have to take the computer-based TOEFL test? |

If the computer-based TOEFL test is
offered in your country, then you must take it. ETS, the
organization that oversees TOEFL, is working towards phasing

I have excellent computer skills? |

You don't need computer experience
to take the TOEFL test. There are mandatory tutorials on test

often can I take the TOEFL test? |

once per calendar month. For example, if you take the test

I have to write the essay? |

All students who take the
TOEFL CBT must write the essay. The essay makes up approximately
half of your final Structure score. |

How
is the computer-based TOEFL test scored? |

Listening and Structure, computer-adaptive
sections, give scores based on your performance and difficulty
of your questions. Your Structure score is combined with
your essay score. Reading is scored according to how many
questions you answer correctly.
